The Société d’études modernistes supports the organization of academic events related to study of Modernism in the English-speaking world:

 

– up to two Modernist studies workshops yearly, organized by PhD students affiliated to a French higher education institution, with grants of up to 500 euros,

 

– events (conferences, workshops, symposiums) organized by Modernist scholars who already hold a doctoral degree, are SEM members and are affiliated with a French higher education institution, with funding up to 500 euros.

The chosen topic must be clearly related to the study of Modernism in the English-speaking world, and the event must be organized with the formal agreement of the applicant’s institution.

 

Next application deadline: Dec. 15, 2024, for events taking place in 2025.
